Shady Brook #5 - Lewisville, NC

Rooted in the architectural language of Lewisville’s historic Shallowford Road; this home captures the soul of the classic mill cottages while offering the comfort and functionality of a new build

Behind the Build

Round-top entry arch, double wythe brick. Before the first course was set, we built the falsework template for the arch on-site to establish a consistent radius for the masons to work off of. The arch ties into a full brick chimney above, finished with a corbelled cap; courses stepping out incrementally to form the detail at the top. The entry door is a round-top mahogany unit, specified to match the arch radius exactly.
