Meet the Team

Jake Kennedy is the founder and builder behind Kennedy Custom Homes, continuing a family legacy of more than three decades in real estate and construction throughout the triad area. That early exposure to building inspired him to study Building Sciences at Appalachian State University, where he developed a deep understanding of design, materials, and construction methods.
Jake combines his technical background with a hands-on approach, remaining closely involved in every project to ensure each home reflects the care and character that define the Kennedy name. Away from work, Jake enjoys life with his wife and their dog, afternoons on the golf course and evenings strumming the guitar on the porch.

Dom brings over a decade of hands-on experience as an electrician to his role as Superintendent. His background in electrical work gives him a strong understanding of every stage of construction, from the ground up. Dom takes pride in managing projects efficiently and ensuring quality craftsmanship on every job. He’s passionate about building; not just structures, but lasting relationships with clients and crews alike. When he’s not on site, Dom enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, often outdoors, on the water fishing, or working on new projects at home.
